Introduction to K9 Tracking 101 

Friday 4th October to Sunday 6th October 2019 (camping from Thursday 3rd October) 

All Day Dog Adventures with their team of experienced Tracking/Search Trainers is offering a 3 Day tracking seminar for dogs and their Owners.

The seminar will take place in Rexford, near Eureka, Montana.

Working together as a team you will be taught to encourage your dog’s natural drive to track. Dogs love to work and use their nose. By giving you the opportunity to work together, the seminar will create a deeper bond between you and your dog.

This intensive 3 Day course will introduce you to and develop your skills and knowledge in the following:

  • Instruction from experienced Trainers
  • Canine learning concepts in relation to scent and tracking work
  • Tracking Principles and Theory
  • Handling & Track laying techniques/skills
  • Establishing a positive reward system to motivate your dog
  • Problem solving

Attendees:

All attendees should be in physical condition commensurate with the physical requirements of tracking with your dog.

Dogs:

Owners must provide proof of current vaccination records, in accordance with State Laws (Montana).

If your dog is reactive to people or other dogs please contact us prior to booking to discuss your individual requirements.

Equipment: 

Each team must have a tracking harness, 15-feet tracking lead, and flat collar, water and food bowls. Handlers should dress appropriate for Montana weather with comfortable ankle length or greater leather boots.

Vehicles: 

Each attendee must have a vehicle containing a crate for transporting the dog.

Lodging:

Camping facilities* including limited RV plots (limited number for RV/Trailer plots- first come first serve) are available to all participants. There is limited electric hook-ups available.   Tent camping spaces available.

*For alternative lodging the closest town is Eureka, MT.

PLEASE NOTE- camping facilities are available from Thursday 3rd October through to later afternoon/early evening on Sunday 6th October 2019.

Food:

Healthy morning snacks, lunch and mid-afternoon snacks will be provided as well as coffee, tea and water. We can work with many dietary restrictions, just be sure to let us know.

Saturday evening: Group BBQ

Cost: 

The cost includes all instruction, classroom training materials, three nights camping on site, and some meals/snacks.

Auditors:

Limited Auditor spaces available.  Auditors will learn about line handling and tracklaying.  Please note that Auditors will take part in the Class room sessions and fieldwork.  Auditors are welcome to lay track for others and to be out in the field with the working Participants.

The balance in full is required at the time your reservation is made.  Please book through Eventbrite.  No hidden fees.

Handler with dog – $425.00/includes camping

Auditors: $225.00/includes camping

 

Refunds:

Participants with working dogs:

Who cancel by 6th September 2019 will receive full refunds.

After 6th September 2019, 50% refunds are on a case-by-case basis.

 

Auditors:

Full refunds will be made if cancellations are received by 6th September 2019.

50% refund until 13th September 2019.

After September 13th 2019, 50% refunds are on a case-by-case basis.
